DIY Boho Rainbow First Birthday

Little Miss ONEderful Birthday Decorations

My daughter just turned one year old. We threw her a boho rainbow-themed birthday party. I DIY almost all the decorations, the food, and even her birthday cake and smash cake.

I worked so hard for this party. It took me a week to prepare everything. I always start making party decorations at least a week before so I have enough time and am not in a rush. You know life as a mom is always busy. So I make sure that I finish everything on time. Thinking about it, I know if we have money, I could have just ordered everything and paid someone to do it for us. Order a beautiful custom cake. But you know what, it is my daughter’s first birthday party and I wanted it to be special. So, despite how challenging it can get, I wanted to do everything on my own. With my three girls, I always bake their birthday cakes, especially on their first birthday. It’s not the prettiest, but the effort is so worth it.

I enjoyed doing DIY so it was so fun for me to do it all by myself. Of course, I have some help with the kids and Meu. But I do it mostly by myself. Some of the decor like balloons, banners, cake toppers, 12 months photo banners were from amazon. I will link them all below. But other than that, I DIYed them.

It was so much fun and I was so happy the birthday party was successful. I always like boho rainbow birthday parties, so that’s why I picked that theme. It wasn’t that hard. The birthday cakes weren’t that pretty. It was so difficult to make the rainbow fondant. I also don’t have all the boho colors but it was fine. It worked after all.

Meu cooked mostly all the food. We only had salmon, fried chicken, pork adobo, chicken adobo, pancit, spring rolls, shrimp, and fruits. We didn’t make so much food because we do not want to have so many leftovers. The food was enough. The guests were happy about it.
