Our Christmas 2020

AKA CHYMECINDY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 2020

Christmas 2020 was no doubt a very different Christmas from what we’ve used to. In a good way of course! It is the first Christmas we have celebrated in our new home. So it is so special for us despite this pandemic situation.

We celebrated Christmas the same as usual. It was a lovely Christmas Eve. We had a Filipino- Finnish Christmas Eve tradition. We prepared a lot of food and we had a Noche Buena in the evening. On Christmas morning, the kids were so happy to see Christmas presents lying under the Christmas tree. We opened all the presents and had breakfast after. The whole day we were just home spending quality time with the family. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!

We took our traditional Christmas family photos on the 24th of December. It was fun. Rosie is now one year old and she enjoyed the camera clicks. You can tell by her sweet smiles. In last year’s photos, she was only days old. I’m so happy with our Christmas photos. It always turned out great even though we only use a tripod and a timer.

I wasn’t so prepared in terms of Christmas presents this year. I always buy a lot of presents. However, I guess I learned to just be simple and focus more on the spirit of Christmas rather than gifts. It’s a magical season of the year to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
