Rosie’s Five Months Update

FIVE-MONTHS-OLD UPDATE

A little five-months-old update of our little Rosie. I have been busy lately and forgot to write her update. This little babe has grown so much! I love her so much! Here are special things to remember at her five months update.

FIRST SOLID FOOD

We gave her first-ever solid food at five months. You can watch the whole video HERE trying her first ever solid food. We made her carrots puree and she loved it! I make her food and have never given her food from the store. I have time so I am really happy to be able to make her fresh food. So far she has eaten fruits and vegetables. I think her favorite is sweet potatoes. She also loves banana but hated avocado and pear.

FIRST TRIP TO THE BEACH

It is finally summer here. Little Rosie had her first dip in the seawater and she loved it. We thought she would be scared but no. She actually likes her feet in the water. She also liked walking in the sand barefoot.

MILESTONES

As to her developmental milestones, she laughs so much now. She crawls a lot too! She plays independently and grabs toys with both hands. She giggles so much and she recognizes her name. She’s gotten so big. And understands whats around her. She also recognizes people and cries when meeting new people.

SLEEPING / BEDTIME

Part of her bedtime routine is eating her cereal. We begin the bedtime routine at 6:30 PM. We give her cereal/porridge and then after that change her pajamas. Playtime a little and at 7 PM we give her last formula feeding. We usually give a 200ml. Sometimes she can drink all and sometimes not.  We put her sleep sack, turn on white noise, and put her to sleep in the crib. She sleeps and wakes up mostly around 5 AM. It’s quite early and I am awake by then also. I let her stay awake for an hour or so and then put her to nap early morning.

She still takes naps 3-4 times a day. Twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon. This girl loves naptime and she is a good sleeper. I am really happy that we don’t have any sleeping problems. I just hope that she will sleep until 7 AM though. But I think if she sleeps later then she wakes up later too. However, I want her to be in bed at 7. So, I don’t have any plans for changing our bedtime schedules.

That’s all for her five-months update. I’m going to write her six months update soon too!
