Rianna’s 8th Birthday

RIANNA IS TURNING 8 TODAY

Today my baby girl is turning 8! She’s growing up too fast and hard to believe that Rianna is now EIGHT! It feels like it was only yesterday that I gave birth. Now it makes me feel really old. Happy Birthday to my sweet Rianna! I love her so much!

SHE’S NOT A BABY ANYMORE

At exactly 11:49 am, on this day, 8 years ago baby Rianna was born into this world. After 9 hours of long labor (5 hours at home, 4 hours in the hospital), over an hour of pushing, she came. I was so happy when I heard her father saying “it’s a girl”. It was a gender surprise and I was so happy that my wish of having a baby girl came true. She came at 35 weeks but was perfect and healthy, although she had jaundice which made us stayed in the hospital for a week.

It was one of the best days of my life. Becoming a mother for the first time. Receiving the best Christmas gift of 2011. It was surreal. I couldn’t be happier. She’s perfect and I am so lucky to have her in my life.

I’m a little emotional because soon I’ll be giving birth to another best Christmas gift God has given me. My second daughter who’s due on December 22 and can come anytime soon. I can’t stop crying reading Rianna’s birth story and how special that day was. Now 8 years later I will experience the same excitement and happiness I had 8 years ago. To give birth a human being I raised in my womb for 9 months. Life is a miracle!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIANNA!

She always has a birthday party but this year I decided not to throw her a party. I was worried I might be in labor during the day of her party or that I am in the hospital giving birth. So, her father and I decided that he will make a separate party at his place. They will invite some of Rianna’s friends. And then I will make my own surprise party for her on her real birthday on the 9th. I didn’t invite any friends only us.

It was just a little birthday surprise for her. I didn’t want to stress anything so I didn’t even bake a nice birthday cake like I always do. I also just used old decorations and bought the number 8 balloon. The most important was that she was happy. We gave her presents as she was longing to have for so long time. Those bunnies from H&M. I also gave her My Little Pony toys. We kept telling her to wait for her birthday. And she was waiting patiently. I am happy that my baby girl is happy. She is eight and I am so thankful to God for giving me a healthy and kind daughter. She’s a sweet girl and I am lucky and grateful for having her in my life. She is, in fact, my life. I love her so much!

A few photos to document her birthday celebration today. She was so happy to come home from school to a lovely birthday surprise. She didn’t expect this and was dancing happily. Now I have an 8th year old. That makes me old. :)
