Pregnancy Update / Week 39

WEEK 39 PREGNANCY UPDATES

Wow I cannot believe I am still writing another pregnancy update. I really thought I would not reach this far, but luckily I am. I am now 39 weeks pregnant and so ready to hold this baby in my arms. But she seems so comfy there and no sign of coming out yet. Today I am 39+6 days.

39 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY UPDATE

December 15- 21

On December 16, I had my 39 week appointment. I lose half a kilo which is a good thing. Last week I decided to stop eating sweets because that was one of the main reasons that I gained a lot of weight aside from swelling. I don’t want to gain any more weight. The baby’s heartbeat sounds good and she is healthy.

Honestly, with the Christmas coming up I became a little impatience waiting for baby’s arrival. But she can come whenever she is ready. All that matters is that she is healthy. I’ve been doing labor inducing exercises and walking. Almost every night I feel like its time but then woke up next morning still pregnant. I have Braxton hicks whole day and light cramps but still no labor. Hopefully soon!

I have appointment on December 23. One day after my due date, we’ll see how it goes. We will decide what to do if a baby isn’t here yet.

HOW I FEEL AND PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS

ITCHY/PAINFUL SKIN UNDER RIGHT BREAST

I have this painful skin below my right breast for quite a while now. I believed it’s the skin that stretches so much. The baby likes to stay more on the right side so I guess the skin is stretch so much in that area. It makes me uncomfortable at times. I am always trying to massage that area when the pain comes.

EVERYTHING IS PAINFUL

With a giant belly moving is getting so hard. I have pelvic pain long before but lately have become worse. Getting up from bed or sofa is very hard to do because the whole body is painful. When I am sleeping, rolling over from the left side to the right is always a struggle. I have to close my eyes to ignore the pain. Walking is harder too but I still try my best to walk and do exercise. All these pains are for sure worth it once the baby is here.

MILD ABDOMINAL CRAMPS

I’ve been having mild abdominal cramps every now and then. But still, no pain so labor isn’t there yet it seems. I have Braxton Hicks the whole day and thought I might already in labor but still no. But my body is surely getting ready for the delivery. Anytime now!

SWELLING

My face, my legs, tights, feet, and hands are swelling. They’re so big now. I hope this swelling will vanish after delivery. It’s also the main reason for rapid my weight gain this past week of pregnancy.
