HOW TO MAKE A DIAPER CAKE

Having a diaper cake in a baby shower is a must! It’s so cute not to have. After all, it is not difficult to make. It is also a nice decoration for baby shower parties. I actually asked my friend to make a diaper cake. She made it and I only helped her decorate it.

DIY/ DIAPER CAKE

Making a diaper cake is easy and simple. You just need more courage and patience. But honestly, it is not that complicated. Just follow the steps by step guide I am sharing below. It has been a while since the last time I am sharing DIY projects on this blog. So, I am so excited to share another DIY today. This tutorial is so simple and I hope that you like it. If you are pregnant or have a pregnant friend who is planning to have a baby shower, make sure to make a diaper cake. If you think it is impossible to make, you can always ask someone to make it for you (like what I did). Or simply just buy it from the shop.

Here’s an easy step by step on how to make a diaper cake.

Things You Need:

  • Diapers
  • Rubber Bands
  • Ribbons
  • Empty Pringles Can

Steps by Steps Guide:

  • Roll the diaper one by one
  • Attach them around the Pringles can.
  • Try to make 2 diaper lines on the first layer
  • Tie the diapers with the rubber band.

Repeat the same steps on the second level and then the third level of the cake.

Decorating The Cake:

You can decorate it depending on how you want the diaper cake to look like. It’s not that complicated. You can insert some baby items like shoes, pacifiers, toys, etc. In this DIY tutorial, we just decorate with the pink ribbon.

  • Just wrap it with a wider and cute ribbon. We used a pink ribbon because it is for a baby girl. :)
  • Put a big bow on the third layer.
  • We inserted a heart and some baby hairclips with a bow and crown design on top of the cake.

Holla! We have a pretty diaper cake in my baby shower. And I am so happy about it. We put it on the dessert table. It fits there perfectly because of its color, pink and white. It looks really pretty and looks like a real cake. I remember one of my friend’s daughter thought it was a real cake and wanted to eat it. Well, you cannot blame her, right? It does look like a ready yummy cake. :)
