WEEK 34 PREGNANCY UPDATES
Here’s another weekly pregnancy update. I am 34 weeks now and I can say the countdown has finally begun. But I am praying that the baby will stay inside until 38-40 weeks. I want her to fully develop and come out on full term to avoid risk and complications. It’s getting harder everyday. Everything hurts but this is normal and I know I can handle all of this aches and pains. Only less than 6 weeks to go.
34 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY UPDATE
November 10- 16
This week is my “winter break”. My maternity leave officially starts next week. But I have been home for over a month now. Every day I walk Rianna to school and pick her up as well. A good thirty minutes walk in the morning and another thirty when I pick her after school. It’s a good exercise for me. I’ve been doing squats and kegel exercises as well.
On Monday I finally went to my workplace to return my key and my working clothes. I also cleaned and empty my locker. I am not sure how long I will be gone but probably just a year. But who knows. There is also a chance that I might not come back anymore. It depends on how I feel after a year. I probably would continue my plan on going to school or find another workplace. I feel sad leaving but that’s life. Being pregnant is the best thing that happened to me now and I cannot wait to be home with my baby.
HOW I FEEL AND PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS
BRAXTON HICKS
The Braxton Hicks is back this week. I don’t know but probably because I was walking every day? Walking is a good exercise but the pressure down there makes it hard to walk. And especially when the Braxton hicks come out of nowhere. I am still wearing my belly support belt but I don’t believe it still helps.
SWOLLEN LEGS AND CONSTANT BATHROOM TRIPS
The socks leave marks on my lower legs which convinced me that my legs are really swollen now. Is it because I drink too much water? I don’t know! But I know swelling is normal in pregnancy. I go to pee a million times during the day. This week I have also the urge to poop a few times in a day which is weird knowing that I was constipated and now seems that it works. I hope this isn’t a sign of labor yet because it is too early.
INSOMNIA
I am trying to sleep as early as possible but there are nights when I cannot sleep. It is so hard and everything hurts when rolling over in bed. I am trying to sleep on my left side as well as the right side. It’s just so hard. There are nights when I am wide awake and cannot sleep at all. I am trying to take a nap during the day though.
PAINFUL VARICOSE VEINS AND PELVIC PAIN
Varicose veins and swollen legs make me hard to walk. It’s painful again and even standing up is hard to do. I don’t have butt/hip pain so far, but the legs hurt so bad especially when I am standing or walking.
STRONG BABY MOVEMENTS
The baby keeps moving all the time. I am not sure how much space she still has there inside but she moves constantly. Even when I’m sitting down, lying down, walking, most especially when I am in bed trying to sleep at night. I don’t know if she ever sleeps? However, when I wake up in the middle of the night, she’s quiet and not moving so she is probably asleep as well. Feeling her kicks and movements makes me happy and relieved that she is doing fine there inside.
That’s all for the week 34 pregnancy update. I am 34+5 today when this update is posted. We are almost there! So near actually.
