MY BABY SHOWER PARTY
We had a baby shower on November 2nd. I have been waiting for this to be over to finalize everything we need for the baby. A lot of people came and I was worried a little bit how we all fit in our small living room. But everything went well. And it was such a lovely Saturday afternoon.
I waited for that day to come. Because I want to know what we will get as gifts and what we have to buy on our own. Although, I didn’t expect to receive anything special. And I am so happy that we bought all the necessary things we need for the baby and the nursery. So I don’t have to expect to receive big things. I made an amazon registry and it seems that no one checks and has only two items bought from there. There are a lot of items that we need that we should purchase from the registry. But they’re not very basic so probably we can buy them later.
HAPPY AND GRATEFUL
I was a little worried that we invited a lot of people and won’t fit in our small living room. But it was fine. We all fit and the party went great. My friends helped me make food. And I did all the decorations and baked all the desserts. The cake looks so pretty and we ordered it from Helsinki. It was really good and I am so happy with the cake design. Exactly what I wanted.
I am very happy and grateful for everyone who came. For all the help and support from my friends. For my co-workers for coming and to everyone who made the baby shower successful. It is such a good feeling to have some support. I don’t have my family here near me but so happy that I have supportive friends. Two of my best friends also revealed to me that they tried to make a surprise party for me. They tried to contact all my friends but everyone seems busy and unreachable. Also, they noticed that I tried everything to arrange and plan by myself so they just canceled the surprise party. Telling me I am so hard to surprise with. It was nice to learn that they care. But yeah, I always want to arrange and make my party perfect no matter what. So, need to do everything on my own.
BABY SHOWER FOOD
We had a lot of food. I really thought it wasn’t enough but we ended up not making food for a week because we had a lot of leftover foods from the baby shower. My friends helped me cook the food and I really appreciate for helping me. Most of the foods are Filipino foods such as pork adobo, fried chicken, pancit, spring rolls, rice, pork menudo, humba, hotdogs, etc. My friend made fried chicken for us. We also made some potatoes, chicken wings and salad for my Finnish guests.
So, there are our baby shower photos. I am so happy and grateful. I’ve written another separate blog post for the baby shower DESSERT TABLE.
