GENDER REVEAL PICNIC PARTY AND…

It’s a GIRL!!!

The day has finally come Rianna and I have been waiting for. It’s been almost three weeks since we had an anatomy scan and the nurse secretly told Meu the gender of our baby. We have agreed that either of us will know the baby’s gender and the other one to be surprised during the gender reveal day. I wanted to be the one who will be surprised along with Yanna. Saturday was finally the gender reveal day.

I wanted my close friends to be there on the gender reveal day so I had to wait for when is everyone free on one weekend. I have also work on weekends and my only free is August 24-25, so we decided we do the gender reveal this weekend. We weren’t planning to do a party. It is just a normal meet up with my friends. So, I just thought a picnic in the park near we live is good enough. Just serve some pizza and fruits and be simple. And then we pop the big balloons with either pink or blue confetti and that’s all.

We were a little bit worried about the weather. It was raining so hard the day before and yesterday it was cloudy and sunny. However, in the afternoon when we planned the gender reveal at around 4 pm, the weather was so good. It was sunny so it was perfect. It was so windy though but the event was successful.

I had no idea at all what is the gender of our baby. I waited so bad for this day to come to finally know the gender of the baby. For many times I was in the shop and badly wanted to buy clothes for the baby but I couldn’t because I had no idea if it is a baby boy or girl. I was secretly hoping it’s a girl though, but many people said it’s probably a boy but most of my best friends thought it’s a girl and they were right.

ON POPPING THE BALLOON

Yanna was a little bit confused about what she should do. She supposed to open the box the same time we pop the balloon. She was so late so Meu had to help her open the box and let the pink balloon come out. Yanna was so happy it’s a girl and she wants to name the baby “Rosie”. She has been talking about the baby every day and is more excited than us. She wants to name the baby “Rosie” if it is a girl and “Robie” if it is a boy.

I am so happy the gender reveal was successful. The simple picnic party went well. Everyone had fun. The kids were happy running to the near playground and back to the picnic area. I managed to film the whole event and we took a lot of good photos. The day was special and unforgettable for all of us. I didn’t do any gender reveal when I was pregnant with Yanna, so this is my first. I did not know Rianna’s gender until her birth because we wanted a surprise. Having a gender reveal party is a great experience and I am so happy we did it.
