Caledonia Waterfall In Platres

OUR VISIT TO CALEDONIA WATERFALL IN PLATRES, CYPRUS

We have been in Ayia Napa, Cyprus for five days enjoying the beach and the hot sun. Yesterday we left and traveled to Platres. It’s cold here and so relaxing. We love it here. When we arrived in Platres, Cyprus we’ve been told to visit the Caledonia waterfall.

The owner of the hotel recommended it to us and said all the tourists should go there. Of course, we want to see what this place can offer so we went to the Kalidonia waterfall yesterday. It was about 45 minutes’ walk to the Caledonia waterfall. The hike was not easy because it was stiff and rocky. But definitely beautiful on the way up. You’ll see a few small waterfalls and a small river where all the water from the big waterfall came down. It reminds me of my father’s hometown.

The Caledonia waterfall is tall and big and is one of the highest waterfalls located in Cyprus and is surrounded by forest. There were a lot of people also going there. As soon as we were up we took a few photos and in awe of the waterfall. Meu decided to went into the falls and said the water was cold and the pressure was so strong. We stayed for a while and rested before we headed back. It is a nice waterfall and a must-see when you are in Platres, Cyprus. If you are a nature lover, I recommend visiting this waterfall.
