A Visit To Sirao Garden

A VISIT TO SIRAO GARDEN

Honestly speaking I was so curious about Sirao garden. It seems that this garden is so famous in social media. All of my friends went there to see and take more photos. The place looks really nice in photos. As they claim it is the mini Amsterdam of the city. I wanted to check and see how nice it is really there.

We went there by car. My friend who is living in Cebu has a car and thankfully touring around Cebu was not a hassle at all. Except for the long traffic every day. I am not used to crowded places and streets anymore, so coming back to Cebu was like a frustration. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just that I feel like I cannot breathe in very crowded places. Living in Finland is so different and the traffic is very seldom. I mean there is no traffic here at all.

My Experience At Sirao Garden

Anyway, it was a long ride uphill and when we reached there I was a little disappointed. The entrance fee for adults was 50 and a separate entrance for kids. There were a few of us and only for the entrance we could have paid about 1000 pesos. We decided not to go inside. For me, it is useless to go inside when you can see the whole garden from outside. It was quite small and honestly, there is nothing much interesting to see.

Do you wonder why I have a few nice photos even if I did not go inside? Well, you can basically take photos from outside without having to pay entrance and go inside. It’s the same anyway. I do like the view from uphill. However, I am disappointed because I was expecting a big wide and beautiful Sirao garden full of beautiful flowers. The garden is small and going there is not easy at all.

We stayed there for a few minutes and left. On our way back, we passed by this nice place near the road where they sell jackfruits. We stopped and bought jackfruits. All of us sat down on those bamboo chairs eating jackfruits with a view. We had lovely chitchat with my friends and it feels like having a picnic on top of the hill. The kids were busy and happily playing and running around. It was indeed a lovely day after all.
