THE ACROPOLIS OF ATHENS, GREECE

We visited the Acropolis of Athens in July last year during our Euro trip. The Acropolis of Athens is such an interesting place  see. I am glad we had a chance to visit this one of the wonders of the world.

The trip to Athens was a connecting flight from Larnaca, Cyprus to Tallinn. We just made it wisely to visit this city as well to be part of our Europe trip 2018. I am so happy that we took this flight and visited Athens. We arrived early morning and took the bus to the city center. The city is so easy to access. We took the bus coming back to the airport at the same bus stop we went down.

As soon as we arrived in the city, we walked directly to find the old town which we found real quick. We walked to this famous street full of famous brand shops. We had our brunch in one of the many restaurants in the old town. After we ate, we headed to search for the Acropolis of Athens. We followed the crowd and basically found the entrance. It was such a long line. So many people waited. It was very hot and quite hard but we never surrender until we got our tickets and climbed up to see the Acropolis.

A Great Day At The Acropolis Of Athens

The climb was quite hard. It was very hot and we were very thirsty. Good thing we had water with us we could sip anytime we are thirsty. As soon as we arrived on top it was a big relief. There were so many tourists at that time. But the feeling of being able to see one of the ancient wonders of the world is magical. It was such a great experience. It was quite relaxing while in there. We rested and sat down. The view from above was very nice.

We had a great time and experience. Even though our trip to Athens was quick and short, I am happy that we got to see the Acropolis of Athens. It was like walking in history and witnessing the life of people a million or thousands of years ago. I wonder how was engineering at that time. How they build such huge buildings with rocks. Really it was amazing to be there.
