BEAUTIFUL BALEA LAKE IN ROMANIA

It was rainy days in our first week in Romania. The rain didn’t stop us somehow from exploring. I remember on our first day of the road trip we were driving to the mountains to see the cave. The storm was very strong and we couldn’t see the road. But we succeeded and we arrived at our destination safe despite the storm. I remember to refuse to go inside the cave because it was so dangerous and slippery and I had a kid with me. I didn’t regret not going through, been seen a lot of caves in my whole life.

In the morning we visit Bâlea lake and came back to the transfagarasan road, it was a rainy day as well. I’m glad I didn’t say no to visit this place because, to be honest, it was like heaven on earth there. It was so beautiful. The lake isn’t that big but it was located in the middle of the mountain. It was rainy and foggy, and I guess bad weather was not a bad idea after all. Look at our photos with foggy mountains, they’re beautiful!

It was cold and rainy. We had umbrellas with us. Umbrella made good photo props though, don’t you think? There was a restaurant in the area, as you can see that red one in the photo. We stayed there for over an hour waiting for the road to be open again. Anyway, it was a rally day when we went and the road was closed for a few hours. We had lunch at the restaurant there. They have really a good location for business, I must say! Visiting these places was easy for us because we had a car. I couldn’t even believe we road trip around Romania and visited almost all that’s in there to see and visit. Bâlea Lake is a must-visit if you are in Romania.
