The Pelișor Castle

If you’re following me on Instagram you know that we are on the Summer holiday and we are traveling to a few countries. We have been to Latvia, Poland and now in Romania. We spent 10 days in Romania and today is our last day. Tomorrow we will continue our adventure and we will be flying to Cyprus. Romania was the main destination of this trip and we were so excited to visit this country. We had so much fun and visited a lot of places.

We visited mostly all the tourist attractions in the country. If I remember correctly, the Pelisor castle was the first sight we ever visited since we arrived here. That’s why it is the first blog post I will write about our Romania trip. It was rainy on our first-day tour, but I would say it was all worth it.

This castle is a lot smaller compared to the Peles Castle but is so nice inside. There was an entrance fee and we decided to check what’s inside. I’m glad we did because we learned a lot of things about this castle and witness how it is inside. It was beautiful inside and everything was all preserved perfectly such as the furniture and old photographs.

We tour around and saw the whole castle and learned the history of it. This castle is so near to the famous Peles Castle, so if you’re visiting the bigger one, please visit Pelisor castle. You will like it!

  1. I’m glad you mentioned Pelisor, as it is often overlooked because most people only focus on Peles Castle. It was one of Queen Mary’s favorite places and legends say that sometimes her distinctive violets perfume can be smelled in the rooms of the Pelisor Castle.
