A Day In Riga, Latvia

A DAY LAYOVER IN RIGA, LATVIA

When we booked our flights to Warsaw, Poland we chose the flights with a layover in Riga. We picked the one that we have enough time to explore the city of Riga. Meu and I haven’t been to Riga, Latvia so we were so excited to visit there. We arrived in the morning and we took a taxi from the airport to the city center. It was a little bit cloudy and for me, better weather than a hot sunny day. We had carried on luggage with us and were walking around Riga center.

We came first to check the statue of Liberty and then the nearby park. It was lovely. There were a lot of tourists but not so crowded. We walked around until we reached the old town. I was searching first of all the house of the blackheads, the most famous spots of Riga.

It was a lovely few hours in Riga. We managed to see a few tourist attractions such as the “Latvia’s Statue of Liberty”, the “House of the Blackheads” of Riga, “Latvian National Opera”, and the old town, of course. We had lunch there and the food was good. We walked around their lovely park. And spent more time at the opera house’s front garden. Rianna was so happy chasing the pigeons and playing hide and seek.

I like walking around the old town. In my opinion, the restaurants are really nice having tables outside. It looks really nice. Riga is a beautiful city and a must-see! Have you been to Riga, Latvia? I’m glad we went and definitely would come back there again someday.
