Baked Chicken And Rice
To be honest, this is my first time to make “Baked Chicken and Rice” recipe. I didn’t know what to expect but was surprised by the result. It was so good. The chicken is cooked and tender. The rice tastes perfect and not very salty as I expected. This will be one of my favourite recipes to make from now on. It is easy to make. I love chicken but sometimes I am lazy to make food and always ended up either cooking fried chicken or chicken adobo. I would like to share new recipes and this is just the beginning. Sharing the recipe below with step by step photos.
Baked Chicken And Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice
- cooking oil
- 3 cups water
- 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1-kilo chicken thighs
- black pepper
- salt
- paprika powder
- red onions chopped
- parsley chopped
- 1 chicken cube (dissolve in a cup of hot water)
- onion leaves for topping
Cooking Method:
- Marinate chicken with black pepper, paprika, and parsley for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven at 200’c.
- In a large pan, add oil, fry the chicken until both sides turn brown.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add onions and garlic, mix well.
- Add rice, a chicken cube, 3 cups of water, salt and pepper.
- Bring to boil for 10 minutes. Stir.
- Remove the rice from the pan and put on a baking glass.
- Add chicken thighs on top of the rice.
- Bake at 200’c for 30 minutes.
- When it’s ready, remove from oven and add onion leaves on top.
- Serve and enjoy.
