A FROZEN BIRTHDAY PARTY
Rianna is 6! I keep repeating that because somehow I can’t believe that my baby girl is now six years old! I am so happy that she’s growing healthy and a sweet girl. She’s kind, helpful, an obedient child. A birthday is a once a year tradition that I’d like to continue doing until I get tired. Rianna is my only child anyway, so there’s no reason to not give a party she deserves despite a little party or big. Something to celebrate her birthday a memorable one. I want her to know that I love her so much and that I’ll do everything for her to be happy (with or without a party).
Last year we did a “Minnie Mouse” birthday party. This year we do Frozen. Although Yanna loves Little Pony too, when asked what cake she wanted she said Elsa cake, so we decided to have a Frozen theme birthday party. I could say that I am more prepared this year than last year. We invited more guests this year. More kids from Yanna’s school and more friends and relatives.
I made more food also one thing I’ve learned from last year. Better to have more leftovers than to have less food. It’s good for guests to have more options on what to eat and food should be enough for everybody. I am so happy that we managed to make good food that the guests like. There were a few failures but at the end of the day the party went well and for me it was perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better party than it was. Kids were happy and so as adults. It was a lovely day.
Dessert Table and Food
About the dessert table. After doing some research, looking at photos online, I figured out what the Frozen dessert table would be like. I want only white and blue. You know the same color as the frozen. So that was I did, made decorations on my own, bought some from eBay, hang up balloons on the ceiling, and… I was very pleased with how it looked. I like the dessert table so much. Simple and clean. I am also very thankful that no one reserve the venue on Saturday, otherwise we couldn’t decorate on Saturday evening just like last year.
It was good that on Saturday evening we arranged the table, and put all the decorations. On Sunday morning everything was ready at the venue. I only made food the whole morning and we arrived at the venue early as well. It was nice! Not so busy during the big day. Also, I am so grateful that I had help making the food and decorate the frozen birthday cake. Otherwise, I couldn’t do all alone by myself.
A MORNING ON HER BIRTHDAY
On the morning of Yanna’s birthday, December 9th, I gave her my birthday presents for her. I’ve made her a small cake for her to blow her candle and we sang happy birthday. She was a little confused. She had 3 birthdays, Friday at school where her classmates wished her a happy birthday, on Saturday her real birthday me and her, and her party on Sunday. How lucky she is, right? I was so worried on her actual birthday because she had a high fever. And we were thinking to cancel the party if she’s very sick. Thankfully she was healthy again the next day and it was okay to continue the party. My friend came also and stayed overnight so Yanna was so happy to see her friend and they were playing nonstop. I hope they will be best friends forever.
So that’s all about Yanna’s birthday. I’ve included a lot of photos to document the day. Another photobook to be made. :)
