A Day At The Prague Zoo

We’ve spent the whole day at Prague Zoological Garden also known as Zoo Praha and have seen all the animals except the giraffe which we couldn’t find. We didn’t plan to stay at the zoo Praha for the whole day, but we just couldn’t resist how nice the place was, that we actually challenged ourselves to visit everything and see all the animals that they have there. It was summer and there were a lot of people on the day of our visit. I didn’t know what to expect. At first, I thought that the zoo was small and that there is no special thing about it. I just went there because Meu wanted to see the animals. It was his first time to see his favorite animal- the owl, which is quite funny. I’ve visited a few zoos and honestly, I’m not into animals thing. However, I must admit that I did enjoy it so much there. And I could only wish Yanna was with us. I’m pretty sure she will love it there too. To see all kinds of animals and to ride the trains that they have inside. Yanna is a big fan of trains. :)

One thing I appreciate so much was the Thai village where there were few elephants. It was so nice and it looks like they were really living in the jungle. I’ve seen also a small monkey which I thought was the same as what we have in the Philippines we called “tarsier”. They look exactly the same but are different species. We managed to walk around and later realized that we were only 1/4 part of the zoo, as we saw down the hill there were still a lot of things to see. So we went down and continued our journey.

I was so amazed at how big the zoo is. And the view from above was so pretty. We could even see our hotel there, and we didn’t know that our hotel was one of the tallest building where it is located. Prague zoo has few restaurants also. We’ve tried the best sausages and ice cream. It’s so nice that the place is so perfect for family and kids.

We had so much fun there and was so happy to be able to see all the animals. All of them. I’ve seen flamingos which I haven’t seen before in real. There were a lot of bird species and mammals. We have seen lions, tigers, and other wild animals as well. Even penguins they have also and sea lions. We had such a great day. We came to our hotel happy that we were able to see all kinds of animals and learned more about them. Prague zoo is a must-visit especially if you have kids.
