Porvoo Cathedral And Red Houses
Porvoo is the second oldest town in Finland. It is also one of the tourists destinations in the country. The main attractions are the red houses and the Porvoo cathedral. I have blogged and shared a few photos of this town and still not tired exploring this town especially in summer. I have visited a few museums and visited the house of the famous J. L. Runeberg, climbed the hill, etc. It’s quite small therefore so easy to explore this beautiful old town of Porvoo.
I haven’t gone inside the cathedral until this time. It was my first time. The church is big and beautiful. There were a lot of people during our visit. I think there was a confirmation happening on that day as there’s a lot of young people on their best outfits. It was a lovely day walking around this area, the bridge, porvonjoki, old town, and this church. Porvoo is beautiful in the summertime. You would love hanging out on the riverside, eat ice cream or grab some lunch. Porvoo is a place you shouldn’t miss if you are visiting Finland or Helsinki. Summer is the best time to visit Porvoo.
