Daycare Graduation

I couldn’t believe how time went so fast! Rianna is going to preschool in August. She is five and it feels like it was only yesterday that she was born. She was born in December 2011 and quite early to start preschool but because they count the birth year, she starts the preschool this year. She will be the youngest in her group and can be there for two years in case it’s hard for her to catch up. I feel old thinking that I have a preschool now!

On Wednesday, May 31st the daycare had kevätjuhla (spring party). It was such a lovely evening. The kids were singing and were so cute on their presentation, though Rianna wasn’t in the mood to participate. Last year’s party she was so energetic. Part of the program was to honor those kids who are going to preschool in August including Rianna. Basically, it was their daycare graduation. They got a card and a rose. After the program, the picnic started. They had this painting session wherein Rianna was so happy to be part of. She requested to write her name on her cheek with a yellow ink and a red heart on the other cheek. She was so happy when it’s done. I documented that moment with some photos for us to remember in the future.
