RIANNA’S FIFTH BIRTHDAY PARTY
On December 10th we celebrated Rianna’s fifth birthday. It was the first time that we threw her a children’s birthday party. Of course the theme was “Minnie Mouse” as she is a big fan. It was a simple party surrounded with family and friends. We decided to held the party at the venue where it was located in city center. We invited a few people and it would have been so crowded if we held at home. The party was fun and it was a big success. I can say that all the efforts I put into it has been paid off. It was a perfect day!
Since it was a children’s party, we’ve decided to invite Rianna’s friends from daycare. Most of the kids we invited are those who’s Rianna is close with and whom she play with. We also invited my friends and their kids. We started off by giving the presents first in which the kids were requested to come in front and give their presents to Rianna. I could see how excited she was to open those presents. She got a lot of presents. Mostly are toys. We went home and all of a sudden our house is full of toys (huhu I hate toys scattered on the floor or everywhere around the house).
After giving the presents, we sang “happy birthday” song to the birthday girl and she blew the candle. Everyone were excited this time. :) After that, we ate cakes, sweets, and some Filipino foods that I made. For kids, they had popcorn, cookies, their own drinks and an ice cream which we forgot to serve. (hahaha… wake up party hosts.)
The kids were running around and everyone were happy to play “treasure hunting”. Their task was to find the giveaway bags full of goodies a.k.a. candies. All the kids had successfully found the bags and went home happy.
I am happy that the party was finally over as I was so stressed about it. It was a success and my five year old is happy. We are all happy.
Thank you to our dear friends and relatives for coming and celebrate with us. We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts. Until next time.
The birthday girl blowing the candle and all of us singing happy birthday… (in finnish).
Below are some photos from her birthday morning where I let her open birthday presents right after she woke up. She was happy she got those red shoes and she wore them right away.
Next post I will be sharing the dessert table, minnie mouse cakes and the decorations.
