If you are following me on my social media especially on instagram you would notice that I constantly posting some iPhone photos of our home. It is a little apartment with only one bedroom. This place is not fully complete but I could say it’s a good place for us to live. I purchased our furnitures one a time as I don’t have enough money to buy all at once. It’s safe to say that we almost got all what we need and that we are satisfied of what we have. I love home decor and interior designing and trying to make this place as simple and clean as possible.
We have been living in our new apartment for almost a year now. We moved here in December and I remember how empty this place was. . There were no proper lights, no furnitures, no beds, no chairs, no nothing. It was dark and empty. The first thing I purchased was the bed and the dining set. Then next those appliances what we really need everyday like microwave, washing machine and vacuum cleaner. We live the first few months with the living room empty. I then purchased Yanna’s daybed and put in the living room. Soon after i bought everything else what we need and now the whole apartment is full of stuffs. I still have few things to buy but no hurry. Ill get them sooner or later and I don’t want to to be in a rush. I’m happy of how this used to be an empty place now a lively nice one.
These photos were taken with my phone and hopefully to take some good photos with the camera and share each room’s bits and pieces. If you notice in this photos the furnitures are moving constantly. I keep changing and moving stuffs around here. It’s not normal I guess but this is me. I get bored easily and I always want to try another design or style of the room. I like simple and everything white. It looks clean and makes the space bigger.
Most of our furnitures are from ikea. It’s not very expensive and it’s durable. Most of them I ordered online and the shipping is really cheap as long as the item isn’t so heavy. Just recently they charge about 8€ for shipping and that is really cheap compared before that was 99€. The above photo was the old one. I had that design for I think a week and then moved back the kallax to it’s original place. The sofa now on the other hand, is not in that area anymore. It’s in the opposite side and I believe that where it is now is the perfect place. I like those photo frames on top of the tv than it was before above the sofa.
I just recently bought a malm bedside table so the bedroom isn’t the same as this photo below anymore. This drawer is now in the living room as there is no more space in the bedroom. We have a small space here that’s why I am trying to buy only what we really need. I also moved Yanna’s daybed in our bedroom. It’s a little bit crowded but still enough place to move around. In the end, it’s just me and my daughter who’s living here. We don’t really need that big space.
I think that’s all for now. This is what our home looks like now. Not so fancy but full of love. We love living here and so happy that we survived. It’s not easy at first but now everything’s fine. Hopefully to blog more decor posts soon.
