Travel Diaries: Stockholm, Sweden

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Almost two weeks ago, our little family had a cruise trip to Stockholm. It was the first time that we all have travelled together outside the country with the older kids. The main reason for the trip was for me to meet my best friend who’s that time came to Sweden for a short vacation. I asked her for a favour if she can bring something for my family in the Philippines. She agreed so we made the trip the same time they were there.

It was perfect timing because hubby had currently enjoyed his three-week summer vacation. So, we thought we could bring the big kids with us if they want, as well. They said yes, so we all went there.
It was just a cruise trip, so we don’t really stay in Sweden for nights. We only had 4-5 hours to explore the city which was just right. We walked through old streets, through those old and high buildings. We visited the King’s Castle, the Nobel museum, the harbour, the shopping streets, and many more. We dined at the Italian restaurant and all enjoyed pizza and spaghetti. Yes, nothing really special for our lunch, you know!

The weather was great and it feels really summery on that day. Thankfully, it didn’t rain. The sun was shining brightly. My best friend and I did a lot of catching up. Talking whatever we could think to talk about. The last time we saw each other was last year, during our family vacation in the Philippines. We never talk often every day as she live in Asia and time is different. But every time we meet again, it seems that everything’s just the same. We are the same young best pals we have known back in college.

Here are some of the photos I took in Stockholm, Sweden. Excuse for the blurry photos. They were all taken with an iPhone 5s.
Lastly, you may want to check our Stockholm visit in 2012 and 2013. Read it here and here.

Where did you spend your summer vacation this year?
