Today I turn 31. I cannot believe I just write that. Unlike last year where I invited some of my friends and we had a little backyard party, this year I am keeping it simple. Like a normal day instead of making myself stress cooking and preparing for the party. I bake a cake though, you can see in this photo! Which is not unusual because I always bake whenever I want. Today is really a normal day, but also very special.

Every year on my birthday I feel emotional rather than happy. As years passed by I feel I am so old already. Time really has flown by so quickly. Having my own family and living a happy life I believe I am so blessed and that the number does not matter anymore. I am thirty-one, a grown responsible woman, a wife and a mother. God has blessed me so much and I am so thankful for everything God had given me. This morning when I woke up I was surprised to see my Facebook wall full of birthday greetings from my family and friends. I really did not expect it. Sometimes I feel so alone, but today I realized how many real friends I have who actually care and love me. Their greetings mean a lot to me, and it really makes me happy.

So here’s to 31. Let’s celebrate!!! Happy Birthday To Me!
