On Rianna’s second birthday, hubby and I decided to give her own space. She has been sharing a room with us since she was born. At first, it was okay. We have a baby crib beside our big bed. It was easier for me because I was still breastfeeding at that time, and it was so easy to pick her up to feed her at night or when she was awake anytime at night.

Now that she has grown into a toddler, her toys occupied so much space in our room. Although she has a toddler bed in the little corner of our bedroom, still she does not sleep on her own bed so much. She does not like small space as she moves a lot when she sleeps. So hubby removed the toddler bed and decided to move all her things in the other room. We have one empty room, but that was her older sister’s room. Her sister came over once or twice a month, so why not make it Rianna’s room?

We moved all her toys in her new room. We do not use toddler bed anymore as it is useless because she does not like it. She now uses a standard size bed. She loves moving around when she sleeps, so the big bed is so perfect for her. She has been sleeping there since she turned two, and she played so much there too. It is nice that she has her own space now and that we have our own privacy too. However, there are times when she still sleeps with us, especially when her elder sister is here, or when hubby needs to go to work early morning. He sleeps there while Rianna and I sleep in our bedroom.

So this is her room for now. The color of the wall is dark, and not good for a little girl’s room I guess? That is just it for now. We have so many plans for this room, especially me. I would like to make this as pretty as it should be for my special baby girl. We are planning to paint the wall or maybe put wallpaper in it, and hopefully, we can do it in the summertime.

This room used to be a master’s bedroom before we exchange rooms. There was an empty walk-in closet in the other room that no one uses, so we decided to change rooms. This room has a huge built-in closet which we still use to store some linens, towels, pillows, and winter blankets. I am currently looking for a perfect wide dresser where we can put the TV on top of it. These bookshelves here are also just temporarily until we find a perfect one. We could not decide the color and design for now until we change the color of the wall. For now, this is Rianna’s own room. Simple, lots of colors as you can see, and a little bit of unorganized.
