It was a lovely sunny day. My daughter and I were home alone. My husband was at work. He never knows how much we miss him when he is not home. I was tired despite, staying home doing nothing. I was helpless and sad knowing my fellow countrymen were suffering the aftermath from a giant disaster they encountered recently. I felt so devastated and frustrated and very sad.
–
There was my daughter. She was bored too. Giving me the TV remote requesting to turn on the television. It wasn’t a good idea at all, but I was bored too, so I let her watch her favorite program. The sunshine came through the window in our living room. It was tempting me to go outside and explore. But I was very lazy to do so.
–
I started playing with my daughter in our room. Playing peek-a boo while laughing at each other. It was noon. We already finished our lunch. Fried rice with chicken. We both enjoyed it. I looked at my daughter’s eyes and starts realizing how precious the time is. I feel lucky that I am with my loved one safe and sound, while there are mothers out there crying for help because they couldn’t find their children after the storm hits their place.
–
Then, I started talking to my daughter. “Hey baby girl we have a lovely weather today, do you want to play outside?”… She just smiled at me and starts playing again. It took me seconds to realize everything. “Arise my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me.” Life is too short to waste and get lazy with. Stand up and work and do things that made life worth.
–
I started grabbing my baby girl’s clothes. Tights, socks, jeans, her winter suit, etc. After few minutes she was dressed and ready. I dressed myself hurriedly, switched off the lights. Checked if oven is off and, then went outside. I lied down my daughter on her stroller so she can have her nap while we walk. It was a lovely weather indeed. It was 3’c and I enjoyed it. My daughter fell asleep right away. I walked slowly and enjoyed it. I realized in the middle of the road that I forgot something. It was perfect time listening to music while walking. But I was so numb and didn’t remember to bring my headphone. I often forget things these days. I guess forgetfulness had hit me. Makes me forget everything I just thought a minute ago.
–
Walking alone was weird. Talking to yourself alone is worse. But life is too short to not enjoy it. I may be alone walking there, but I am making my body happy to have some exercise. And making my daughter enjoyed her nap as well.
–
One hour walking was perfect. We arrived home happy. My daughter woke up with a smile in her face as we reached in our backyard. As a reward being a good girl, I let her play in the yard. She had her favorite spot there. But she couldn’t find it anymore now because the berries are dry and dead. There is no fruit to eat. It makes me smile. She really loves berries! She went there, only to realize that there was nothing left to eat. I told her, “berries will be back in summer. So until next summer, baby girl.” She smiled and giggle and talked me back with her own words.
–
We went inside. She was happy. We played again. This little girl loves balls. I love making her laugh and smile. I wouldn’t mind running around like a child playing with her. I love her so!
–
It was time for my husband to arrived home from work. My daughter is always excited every time her father comes home from work. She would run to the front door to meet him.
–
Nighttime. She was sleepy so I put her to bed early. I read her my favorite book I bought few years ago. I really like that book because it gives me so much inspirations. I read few stories while patting her back. Then, she falls asleep.
–
I was surprised because at 9pm she already asleep. She normally sleeps late at night. She must be very tired from today’s adventure.
–
“Goodnight sweetheart. Sleep well. God bless! I love you!”

In life you can’t be lazy. Do something that will make your day a memorable one. There is only one today. Once the day passed, it will never come back again. Therefore, cherish every minute of the day. “Arise my darling, my little one.” Make life worth living.

The lesson I learned today will remain forever. Time is precious. Enjoy it! Enjoy it with your loved ones. Tomorrow may never come!
