This year is my second mother’s day. Someone asked what’s the best mother’s day gift we can give that is worth not more than $25. I decided to ask hubby what he is planning to give me on mother’s day. He said he would prepare a home cook dinner for us and will give me flowers and a card. Last year he surprised me a bunch of red roses. I was so happy and felt so loved. Like I was having butterflies on my stomach. It’s so sweet of him if he will cook dinner for us this mother’s day because he didn’t cook meal that often. And I love to receive red roses and a hand written card. It makes me feel special.
If someone ask me what I want this mother’s day, I would surely say some material things. Of course all of us deserve something what we want and what we deserve. And I have so many things I want to have on my wish lists like a Marc Jacob watch and Michael Kors handbag. But really, those are just things. Things that can makes us happy at some point but will vanish later on. What I want hubby to give me this mother’s day is so simple. I want him to wake me up in the morning with a kiss saying “Happy Mother’s Day, My Love!” That’s the sweetest gift I would like to have from him. Being remembered and loved is great. Knowing that someone is there with you when you woke up and will greet you first thing in the morning is magical.
If you are a daughter and a son or a husband who is looking for a gift under $25 for your mother and wife, I think the sweetest gift we can give is a hand written poem or a love/thank you letter is the best. There is nothing sweeter than the words that came out from our heart and written by our own hands. I think that is very special and everyone loves and appreciate it. It’s sweet and thoughtful. And it cost not more than $25.
